If I wanted to introduce an outsider to the UK classic car scenes, then this would be one of the top three I'd choose in 2016.

It also can boast a large contingent of world and Italian machinery on show, with a full programme of races to focus on. Its main handicap is the ticket pricing - always true of Silverstone.

The weekend will have a crowded and spectacular schedule of classic motor racing on the full Grand Prix Circuit, impressive track parades, infield displays from over 120 car clubs featuring more than 10,000 classic cars plus many interactive driving activities and dynamic demonstrations.

The entire site is in use, with entertainment and live music from headline acts, aerial displays, plus a vintage fun fair and a shopping village.

Over 1,000 classic cars take part in more than 20 races featuring the best historic Grand Prix, Le Mans prototypes, Sports, GT and Touring Cars across 80 years of racing.

Visit the official Silverstone Classic website to book early bird tickets.

Hospitality Package:
Classic Silverstone offers a range of packages available over the three-day festival weekend that are specifically tailored to your requirements and budget.

[I]Silverstone Woodlands - The official campsite.
Facilities at Silverstone Woodlands campsite have been improved this decade, with purpose built permanent toilets & showers and an on-site shop, as well as food outlets and “The Petrol Head” pub.

It is also an unofficial display site, with so many Classic Cars around, and it is the first way our car club tests our member popularity with this event. It still carries the grassy field handicap - with weather dependence though.

Snoozebox Hotel plus village - Snoozebox is the portable hotel right by the main entrance to Silverstone.

You need to try this event on one day to really see if its for you.
Coming from the Le Mans experience, originally, (before the dedicated local radio station) is the Official Over-Ear Radio which can be purchased in advance too.
