Well, I was interested to see that Chateau Impney's profile has been raised again in the last two sprint seasons. And the news about this event has been nothing but positive since its re-creation in 2015. The 2016 event has seen a growth in popularity and car originality - as well as an improvement in most of the car category winning times.
Its a short and quite tricky 1000metre course - usually being completed in the 40 to 60 second range with a hill ascent that divides a narrow and tight lower section with faster open corners towards the finish line.
Situated in its own parkland between Droitwich and Worcester, it now offers hotel with casino options.... and takes me back to one of the first times I was helping to tune a Chevron for a sprint there.... back in the pre-history days..... very nice to see its success as a modern venue on the rise again as it borrows its formula from several similar venues in France.
